We are a team of three couples, two from the United States and one couple from Poland. We have been living in Ireland for a total of more than 35 years and have been exploring this extraordinary island since we each arrived.
Ireland is green, wet and sometimes rough, but it has won our hearts and continues to astonish us with its unique beauty.
Ocean coast lines with huge cliffs tearing the cold waves to shreds, old castles and mystic foggy coniferous forests. Everywhere you go it’s green. Everywhere you go it’s old. Everywhere you go it’s inspiring.
Although we have visited almost all of the places on the ‘must see list,’ We want to write about less known destinations that are available to “Explore”. Of course, you should see the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands, drive or hike the Ring of Kerry, climb Croagh Patrick or Carrauntoohil and learn the legend of the fight between giants by visiting the Giant’s Causeway, but there are many more amazing places in Ireland which you can visit alone or with your family. Ireland is a very rewarding place if you spend time exploring it.
We didn’t want to only focus on the site-seeing destinations around Ireland, but we wanted to share our encounters with regular day-to-day life “At Home” in Ireland. Lessons learned and experiences enjoyed from putting down roots on this island with its wonderful and unique people. So let’s start the journey and not only explore this extraordinary island but also experience it.
