Last night our beautiful green island was covered in snow; at least in our area. I think it must have snowed about 2 inches and it lasted from mid afternoon yesterday until after lunch today when the rain decided to come melt it away. That is more snow than I have seen in the past three years living here. It was so amazing to wake up to a world covered in white with “my” castle in the distance…dreamy. We took Jewel outside to discover snow for the first time, she wasn’t impressed. We are not used to this cold weather on the Emerald isle. Though it may be beautiful for a day or two, I’m thankful that Ireland doesn’t choose to bless us with this weather too often.

I came to live in Ireland several years ago following the love of my life…an Irish man. Now I’m happily married and the mother three. We live in the country with a view of an ancient castle ruins out our back windows and each day I am grateful to be alive, to be loved, to be here.
